What’s the opportunity?

The Change Management & People Comms role at Intercom will be an integral part in making sure our People Programs and overall Employee Experience are communicated and implemented effectively with the business. This cross-functional role will partner deeply with the entire People Org to ensure employees understand and are brought along on the journey of all new people programs and initiatives. They will also be responsible for ensuring there are strong cross-functional communication channels across the various teams within the People Org.

This role will support a holistic communication strategy for all programs and initiatives coming out of the People Org, including but not limited to:

  • The employee experience, as serviced by the People Org - tying together the many things coming out of the People Org into one consistent, relatable narrative for our employees
  • All People Org COE Programs (Learning, DEI, Total Rewards, Talent Management, Data & Insights, etc) - both new build work and ongoing run-the-business developments that our employees need to hear about
  • Internal People Org communications and cross-functional alignment

What will I be doing?

  • Create a structured change management approach that is scalable and measurable across the People Org
  • Flex that structure for the needs of Intercom - we’re small, scrappy and agile… super structured approaches are often met with hesitation
  • Develop strategies and systems that will connect and increase visibility and understanding across the People Org’s disparate teams and functions
  • Build relationships with People Program drivers and leads, consulting them on comms approaches and connecting dots and narratives between disparate programs
  • Support the creation, development, delivery and execution of comms from the People Org out to employees
  • Partner with Employees Comms team on company-wide editorial and events calendar, ensuring there’s visibility and consistency in voice and employee experience
  • Consult People Program managers to set appropriate project priorities and milestones that will help us drive delivery
  • Develop measurement strategies for the effectiveness of People Org comms and big moments of change

What skills do I need?

  • Stellar written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in deck building and visual storytelling- Google docs preferred
  • Ability to take on the voice of Intercom - playful business tone
  • Creativity and ability to engage employees in meaningful way
  • Ability to create structure in an unstructured environment
  • Ability to flex with the needs of the business
  • Strong skill set in organizing multiple stakeholders across complex projects
  • Project management and/or program management experience with experience thinking end-to-end on a process is required
  • Documentation of said project/program is key
  • 3-5 years of experience working in fast-paced organization - preferably, within a People Org
  • Possible backgrounds that suit:
  • Internal communications
  • Change management
  • People Program manager
