How you will make an impact:
As a Mobile Software Engineer II at Iterable, you'll complete smaller mobile features and projects autonomously, with regular oversight on new problems or undefined architectural challenges. You will prioritize mobile development activities with limited guidance while understanding how your tasks contribute to the team's SDK and mobile application goals. You will proactively seek guidance from team members or managers when an answer is not known, form opinions while seeking input from a diverse group of team members, and learn to proactively anticipate small mobile-specific roadblocks (such as App Store guidelines or OS-level updates) to accomplish tasks.
How you will make a difference:
- Complete assigned mobile tasks and feature implementations that are comprehensive, well-tested, and thought out.
- Proactively collaborate with cross-functional team members to find the best solutions for cross-platform and native performance.
- Form opinions while seeking input from a diverse group of team members on how to solve complex mobile architecture and state-management problems.
- Recommend solutions to enhance existing mobile processes, CI/CD pipelines, and understand resources available to overcome unforeseen technical debt.
- Learn to proactively anticipate minor roadblocks to completing tasks and leverage knowledge of App Store ecosystem processes to navigate them successfully.
- Learn to manage expectations and accurately gauge the effort required to achieve mobile objectives.
We are looking for people who have:
- 3+ years of relevant mobile software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript, with experience building, shipping, and maintaining production-ready mobile applications.
- Solid native iOS development experience using Swift with a deep understanding of iOS frameworks, Apple design principles, and interface guidelines.
- Experience bridges native iOS modules with React Native.
- Familiarity with mobile application state management (e.g., Redux, Context API) and mobile performance optimization (memory leaks, CPU usage, fluid UI rendering)
- Fluency in English (verbal and written).
- Legally authorized to work in the EU.
Bonus Points
- Experience developing or maintaining Mobile SDKs.
- Experience with automated mobile testing frameworks (e.g., Detox, Espresso, XCTest).
- Experience managing app store deployment pipelines (App Store Connect, TestFlight).
- Worked in a company with a strong US presence.
