The Team:

The mission of the Platform Group at Iterable is to ensure a highly scalable core platform to support our global enterprise customer base, which is doubling every year. On a daily basis, Iterable ingests billions of user profiles and events. Our workflows & messaging services then trigger billions of emails, mobile push & SMS every month.

The group is responsible for the scalability of these core services:

  • Data Ingestion (100K+ events/second)
  • Messaging (billions of emails, mobile push, SMS sent per month)
  • Workflows (billions of user flows per month)
  • Data Services (ElasticSearch, Redis, Postgres)

How you will make an impact:

The Performance Engineering team is responsible for the evaluation of key production and test services. As a Senior level member of the team, you will research and build new approaches to server side performance benchmarks. From here you can support business use cases, system stability, and improve the customer experience. You will evangelize performance tooling by developing in-house expertise and best practices around these technologies, and providing ongoing support to product engineering teams. We are looking for people who have:

  • Built complex automated system or performance tests
  • Experience with multiple programming languages or an eagerness to learn
  • Experience with running infrastructure as code
  • Familiar with common server side testing frameworks and patterns.
  • Experience with Unix-based systems
  • Experience writing and running production code
  • Experience or interest in databases and data storage:
  • NoSQL, key-value stores, messaging, and distributed systems
  • Passion for learning and mentoring others. A team player.

We’ve rethought  traditional workplace planning and are looking to strengthen belonging, innovation, productivity, and happiness whether it’s in an office, from home, or a hybrid of the two. As such, we’ve moved to a single geographical compensation band for all of our employees (the San Francisco Bay Area market for the US, London for the UK).

For Colorado-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $160,000/year. The compensation package includes equity, plus a range of medical, dental, vision, financial and other benefits. Additionally, perks such as daily paid lunches and generous stipends for health & fitness and learning & development, among others, are included.
