Who You Are

You possess high impact communication and presentation skills. You’re energetic, passionate about sales, and are a natural leader. Coaching and developing people brings you excitement, and you’re eager to leverage your skills in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

As a Sales Trainer, you will help shape Justworks’ sales strategy. You will be responsible for assisting in training and onboarding incoming new sales hires and tenured reps. Your role entails remaining extremely process-driven and tracking records of performance. You will be working closely with various departments, including sales, product, and operations, to support the delivery and certification of new hires and ongoing training to the sales team.

Your Success Profile

What You Will Work On

  • Measure new hire progress via KPIs and performance
  • Ensure new hires are progressing and ramping to plan
  • Assist in building upon the foundation of Justworks Sales Academy and corresponding materials
  • Deploy a blend of traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations, etc)
  • Create, administer and track training modules in LMS
  • Assist in building a culture of training and enablement throughout the organization
  • Periodically conduct ongoing training of experienced salespeople
  • Coach, mentor and develop salespeople at all levels
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

As a Sales Trainer, how results are achieved is paramount for your success and ultimately result in our success as an organization. In this role, your foundational knowledge, skills, abilities and personal attributes are anchored in the following competencies:

  • Good judgement - the exercise of critical thinking, analyzing and assessing problems and implications, identifying patterns, making connections of underlying issues, understanding risks and developing mitigation strategies, and taking ownership of the outcome.
  • Detail-oriented - exercises extreme attention to detail; is thorough, accurate, organized, and productive and seeks to understand both the cause and effect of a situation.
  • Foundational sales knowledge - the specific set of sales skills (prospecting, cold calling, nurturing, engaging, presenting, negotiating, closing etc) and knowledge (product, markets, trends, business etc) a salesperson possesses to enact the exchange of value between a buyer and the vendor.
  • Results-driven - consistently achieves results, even under difficult circumstances.
  • Clear communication - the ability to articulate thoughts and express ideas effectively using oral, written, visual and non-verbal communication skills, as well as listening skills to gain understanding.

  • Minimum of 1 year in sales training, sales management and/or direct sales
  • Background in selling and/or training on HR and health insurance products, ideally in the Professional Employer organization (PEO) and/or payroll industry
  • Analytical – you will not make decisions unless you have the numbers to back them up
  • You enjoy high growth environments where change is frequent
