Are you ready to unlock intelligence?

If you don’t think you meet all of the criteria below but are still interested in the job, please apply. Nobody checks every box - we’re looking for candidates that are particularly strong in a few areas, and have some interest and capabilities in others.

About the Role

Kong is hiring a Content Manager to join our globally distributed marketing team. In this position, you'll shape how Kong tells its story externally — writing and editing content that resonates with both developers and business decision-makers.

You'll help run a content calendar that serves marketing and corporate communications priorities across regions. You'll own and execute content across formats, from first draft to published, and work closely with product marketing, demand gen, and comms to keep our editorial output sharp, on-brand, and strategically grounded. You'll also help surface stories worth telling and find the right way to tell them.

We're looking for someone who writes clearly for both a senior engineer and a VP of Engineering — and knows the difference. Someone who understands enterprise software and can get up to speed on a complex, technical product without much hand-holding. And someone comfortable using AI tools to move faster, but who believes a strong human touch is what makes content worth reading.

What You’ll Do

  • Help manage a content calendar aligned to global field marketing campaigns, product launches, and awareness goals, assisting in prioritizing content based and suggesting best channels for content delivery based on audiences

  • Write and edit various content formats — including blogs, eBooks, long-form articles, and executive thought leadership — with a focus on clarity, relevance, and voice.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and writers to coordinate the development and delivery of high-quality content.

  • Apply editorial best practices to ensure accuracy, consistency and alignment with Kong’s brand voice and messaging.

  • Use AI tools (e.g., Claude, AirOps) and collaborative platforms (Google Docs, Canva) to streamline content workflows and support faster iteration.

  • Track performance across key channels and apply insights to inform future content planning.

  • Leverage project management tools (e.g., Asana) to maintain visibility into timelines and deliverables.

  • Ensure older content remains current and valuable by regularly auditing, updating, and optimizing for search and audience needs.

  • Support content promotion across platforms including LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, and others.

  • Partner with the US-based content team to align regional messaging and support strategic content initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • Extremely strong writing and editing skills in English with exceptional attention to detail

  • 5–8 years of experience in software, SaaS, or technical organizations, preferably within B2B or enterprise technology environments.

  • Experience in B2B or enterprise tech content (SaaS, APIs, and cloud infrastructure preferred)

  • Familiarity with AI writing tools and content management workflows

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

  • Collaborative mindset

  • Excellent communication skills

  • This is a hybrid role, requiring three days per week in the office.
