Analytics Engineer (MarTech) Melbourne, VIC • Sydney, NSW Remote • Hybrid Full-time The Role
We're looking for an Analytics Engineer to partner closely with our marketing team and turn data into a strategic advantage. You'll collaborate with marketers to translate their goals into actionable data solutions and ensure tracking is accurate across the customer journey. You'll also build and maintain the data models and pipelines that power campaign targeting, measurement, and pioneer how we do experimentation in the MarTech space. You'll help shape how we understand our users by creating unified views and enabling segmentation and attribution.
What You'll Do
  • Data foundation and modelling
    • Develop, improve and apply a data warehouse modelling strategy for marketing-related data, including dimensional modelling and support contributors
    • Collaborate with product engineering teams to instrument the product, ensuring we are capturing the right data points required to run marketing campaigns and measure performance of said campaigns.
    • Maintain data models of our users combining various sources of data into a single unified and ready to be used view
    • Build or contribute to audience segmentation models to improve campaign performance
    • Model metrics used for tracking performance of campaigns
  • Build data pipelines to ensure
    • Marketing and analytics platforms have access to the right data, at the right time.
    • Bring data back into Linktree’s warehouse for analytics and reporting.
  • Analytics & Reporting
    • Build or contribute to attribution models to understand the impact of marketing campaigns.
    • Establish experimentation (A/B testing) practices for all types of marketing campaigns to increase confidence in reported impact.
    • Build dashboards to monitor the health and performance of marketing efforts

What You Bring
  • Experience with data integration tooling such as CDPs, reverse ETLs, Airflow, etc.
  • Data modelling experience, i.e. advanced SQL knowledge as well as experience with DBT or other data transformation tools.
  • In-depth experience with experimentation platforms, with emphasis on measuring the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Experience working with event-based product analytics tools, such as Amplitude, Snowplow, Segment, etc.
  • Project and stakeholder management experience to coordinate across marketing, product engineering and data teams.
