About the role

Our fast-paced Outbound Sales Team has an infectiously positive attitude, great work ethic, and the drive to exceed expectations. We are looking for qualified candidates to help expand our sales operation. Your exceptional communication skills will connect you with customers by phone, email or chat, where you will work to quickly establish trust and earn their business. No cold calling in this role!

You will:

  • Sell Metromile’s unique auto insurance product using a consultative sales approach
  • Call prospective Outbound leads and manage a pipeline of referrals and potential clients//no cold calling!
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and effectively close other lines of Insurance (renter’s, homeowner’s’, motorcycle) through our future partner companies
  • Provide an industry-leading phone experience to create fiercely loyal customers
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on insurance services
  • Work together in a collaborative atmosphere to exceed individual, team and departmental goals

About you

  • Possess your Arizona Property and Casualty Insurance License or be able to pass the Arizona Property and Casualty Insurance License Exam to obtain your license and subsequent state affiliations
  • 1-2 years of phone Sales experience (call center & outbound Sales experience is preferred), preferably in Insurance, Tech, or Software industry
  • Comfortable on the phone making outbound calls. You’ll love dazzling potential clients
  • Self-driven. You have superior organizational skills, integrity and great follow through on tasks. You don’t get overwhelmed easily.
  • Naturally curious. You’re innovative, extremely creative and always asking questions to learn more.
  • Word savvy. You have exceptional writing skills and can craft everything from emails and summaries, easily adjusting your tone/voice accordingly.
  • You’re a charismatic people-person who can talk to anyone; you’re flexible, fearless, and excited to help build something awesome and share it with the world.
  • An organized and efficient salesperson who thrives managing their own book of business
  • Exceptional communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to change in a fast-growing environment
  • Self-managed, highly motivated, and confident
  • Very organized and diligent in prioritizing your day

Nice to have

  • Experience in account management or sales development is a plus
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Google Apps
  • Bilingual in Spanish
