Multiverse is the upskilling platform for AI and Tech adoption.
We have partnered with 1,500+ companies to deliver a new kind of learning that's transforming today’s workforce.
Our upskilling apprenticeships are designed for people of any age and career stage to build critical AI, data, and tech skills. Our learners have driven $2bn+ ROI for their employers, using the skills they’ve learned to improve productivity and measurable performance.
In June 2022, we announced a $220 million Series D funding round co-led by StepStone Group, Lightspeed Venture Partners and General Catalyst. With a post-money valuation of $1.7bn, the round makes us the UK’s first EdTech unicorn.
But we aren’t stopping there. With a strong operational footprint and 800+ employees, we have ambitious plans to continue scaling. We’re building a world where tech skills unlock people’s potential and output.
Join Multiverse and power our mission to equip the workforce to win in the AI era.
We're looking for a hands-on IT Systems Specialist to join our lean Enterprise Technology team and help run and modernise the systems a fast-scaling business depends on.
This is an ownership role for someone who has run IT inside a startup or scaleup - an IT manager or senior sysadmin who likes getting their hands dirty. You'll lead our side of major platform migrations, working with our delivery partners, making the technical calls and landing each cutover cleanly. On top of that you'll build the automation that takes repetitive, manual work off the whole company's plate.
Just as important: you're someone colleagues across the business genuinely enjoy working with. You can explain technical things in plain language, you keep people in the loop, and you bring calm to fast-moving change. If you like owning real problems end-to-end, building things that last, and seeing your work quietly save the company hours every week, this is the role for you.
You'll work within the Enterprise Technology function, alongside our Implementation and Security colleagues and in close partnership with the business.
What You'll DoOwn our platform migrations
Lead Multiverse's side of vendor-led platform migrations across identity, endpoint security and service management - directing delivery partners, making the technical calls, and landing each cutover cleanly.
Bring order and momentum to fast-moving programmes, keeping change on track as priorities shift around you.
Build automation that removes real work
Spot the manual bottlenecks across Enterprise Technology and design smarter, automated workflows - from user provisioning and licence management to compliance reporting and support triage.
Build with whatever fits the problem - scripting, no-code or workflow tooling - and own it end-to-end, so it's documented, monitored and understood by the whole team, not just you.
Keep our systems solid and well-run
Keep our core systems - identity, endpoint, SaaS and security tooling - reliable, secure and well-administered as the business grows.
Bring a security-aware lens to everything you build, so automation is safe by design, with monitoring and error handling that fails visibly, not silently.
Work well with the whole business
Translate technical detail into plain, useful language for non-technical colleagues, and keep people informed as you go. The best solutions are the ones people actually understand and trust.
We value different perspectives and a variety of backgrounds. We care about how you think and the standard you hold yourself to as much as any single line on your CV.
We'd love to hear from you if:
You've solid hands-on experience running IT in a startup or scaleup - an IT manager or senior sysadmin background fits well. Around 5-6 years is a good guide, but mindset and problem-solving matter more than the exact number.
You've led your side of at least one platform migration (identity, security tooling or service management), where you directed vendors and owned the outcome.
You're confident and hands-on with Google Workspace - we're a Google-first environment.
You've an automation-first mindset and a track record of building things that genuinely reduced repetitive work, by whatever means.
You can explain technical things simply and clearly to non-technical colleagues - and you like doing it.
You're energised, not unsettled, by change, shifting priorities and a bit of ambiguity.
You write clear documentation and hold yourself to a high standard without being prompted.
Hands-on experience with modern identity platforms (Okta, Entra ID, JumpCloud) - Okta Workflows especially.
Scripting (Python, Bash) or integration/automation platforms like n8n, Zapier or Workato.
Exposure to endpoint security / EDR tooling.
An understanding of IT security frameworks such as ISO 27001 - what controls and evidence look like in practice.
You use AI thoughtfully and well - you can tell the difference between a genuinely agentic tool and a chatbot, and you put it to work.
A background in high-growth tech or edtech environments.
A genuinely high-impact role - your work will touch the whole business, not just tickets in a queue.
Real ownership from day one, in a lean, collaborative team where your judgement is trusted and your work is visible.
-
A clear path to grow - this role can develop into more engineering- or product-adjacent work as you do, within a wider technology org of around 25-30 people.
