SEI’s Investment Risk Management team has an immediate opening for a Risk Analyst. We’re looking for a Risk Analyst to help identify, measure, and monitor the drivers of risk and return across multi‑asset portfolios.
The role will work cross-functionally across SEI’s Investment Management Unit (IMU) and other units within SEI, partnering closely with portfolio managers, investment strategists, trading and technology to provide a clear view of portfolio exposures, communicate actionable insights, and strengthen portfolio construction and ongoing risk management. An ability to analyze complex information, manage projects and work well in a team environment are essential.
What you will do:
Assist with identifying, monitoring and mitigating investment and regulatory risk of funds on a daily basis.
Analyze data to convey potential risks and concerns. Investigate, report and discuss risk concerns with the other team members, portfolio managers and other key people throughout the organization.
Assist in the preparation of risk reports, summaries, and presentations. Compile information and display results.
Partner with portfolio managers and strategists to investigate risk signals, validate hypotheses, and document portfolio risk narratives.
Participate in regular investment/risk discussions, bringing data-driven perspectives and follow-ups on portfolio actions, constraints and residual risks.
Assist in the implementation of new solutions to monitor investment and regulatory risks. Work with technology teams to develop solutions as necessary to meet requirements.
Adhere to policies and procedures. Maintain and update policies as needed.
Contribute to enhancement of technological systems and overall risk management process.
What we need from you:
Minimum one year of experience in risk management, investment management or other related experience
Bachelor’s degree; focus in finance, economics, business, mathematics, or quantitative focused discipline
Working knowledge of investment strategies, capital markets, derivatives and other security types
A demonstrated ability to understand new analytical concepts
Strong project management skills and an ability to manage multiple short- and long-term projects simultaneously
Careful attention to detail Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong technological capabilities, with skills in Microsoft Office product suite (Excel and Powerpoint in particular) and financial information systems (e.g. Blackrock Solutions, FactSet) or similar systems would be beneficial. Experience with SQL or Access a plus.
