OpenX is seeking a VP, Brand Partnerships to join our dynamic and fast-growing Buyer

  • Development team.
  • The VP, Brand Partnerships will be responsible for creating a vision and strategy for the
  • Development and growth of our partnerships with brands globally. Reporting directly to the SVP
  • Buyer Development, candidates must be self-motivated leaders who can work with internal
  • Teams as well as clients at the world’s leading brands to create meaningful partnerships that
  • Solve real business problems for buyers while driving incremental revenue growth and market
  • Share for OpenX.

What You Bring:

You are a leader with a proven track record of building and scaling partnerships with global marketers, leading the end-to-end revenue value chain, and actively managing sales and business development productivity.

You are a collaborative, data-driven, and inspiring leader that thrives in a performance-driven culture. You have a demonstrated and verifiable track record of revenue and sales growth, with an expert understanding of deal cadence and the ability to close large, complex partnerships with brand marketers.

You have deep knowledge of marketing, adtech, and/or martech ecosystems(digital/programmatic/datatargeting/platform/audience-based/cross-device/DSP/DMP), and have established relationships with key decisions makers at the highest levels with the world’s leading brands

Responsibilities

  • Create a business development strategic plan designed to bring the full suite of
  • OpenX products and solutions directly to the world’s leading brand marketers and
  • Drive incremental revenue growth
  • Responsible for a book of business that includes the Ad Age 100 brands
  • Sales Prospecting and Hunting: Expectation to generate a high volume of incremental
  • Revenue-related activity including cold calling, presentations, RFP / RFI response, and
  • Out of the box solutions
  • Seek out and qualify new brand partnership prospects with high incremental
  • Revenue pote
  • Upsell current clients in current and new products and programmatic buying
  • Capabilities
  • Activate and build strong relationships in key categories such as data-driven
  • Audience activation and new ad formats such as CTV
  • Maintain a deep understanding of market competitors, knowledge, and trends,
  • Including evolving technologies, client needs, expectations, and opportunities, shifts in
  • The competitive landscape, operational efficiencies, and opportunities and competitive
  • Challenges
  • Structure and negotiate contractual agreements designed to drive an equitable
  • Partnership for OpenX and the world’s leading brand markers
  • Work closely with senior management and product leadership to develop the strategy
  • And execution plans to bring real solutions to buyers
  • Cultivate relationships with senior marketing decision-makers to gain deep insight into
  • Their business and ultimately provide OpenX solutions for their marketing and
  • Advertising goals.
  • Provide feedback to the company on how to best service clients’ needs. Identify
  • Service offering gaps and communicate back to relevant teams at OpenX in order to
  • Ensure we are constantly innovating to meet the evolving needs of programmatic
  • Advertisers
  • Establish annual Joint Business Plans and manage the quarterly/annual tracking of
  • KPIs with the brands and communicate across internal OpenX stakeholders
  • Work with Account Manager and other internal teams to ensure solid proposals are
  • Successfully implemented and aligned with client expectations.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of sales or business development experience in digital, adtech, or other
  • Relevant activities
  • Extensive background in sourcing, negotiating, and closing complex partnership
  • Agreements and contracts
  • A strong leader with a track record working in highly matrixed, cross-functional and
  • Fast-moving environments
  • Ability to influence without authority, and capable of engaging with numerous senior
  • Stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to set, manage and track against a set of diverse, strategic KPIs
  • Extensive high-level relationships with senior media, advertising, and technology
  • Decision-makers at the world’s largest global brands
  • Demonstrated strategic, consultative, and analytical sales approach with a focus on
  • Building partnerships with brand marketers

Desired Characteristics

  • Deep familiarity with ad tech, SSPs, DSPs and the programmatic landscape, as well as with internal org structure at brands, agencies, ATDs and consultancies
  • Expansive network of strategic and transactional decision-makers on the buy-side, including brand-direct relationships
  • Well-versed in programmatic audience strategy: CRM, CDP, DMP, 1P+2P+3P data, the future-focused people-based marketing landscape, etc.
  • Strong executive presence and deeply comfortable presenting to clients of all levels
  • Consultative, partnership-minded sales approach
  • Ability to lead all aspects of top-tier buyer relationships – truly ‘own’ a book of business
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong business judgment
