We are operating at a scale: 100% Cloud-based (GCP) platform Over 400 billion Ad requests every day Over 120 000 CPU daily Over 140 TB RAM daily Over 50 PB of data per week Over 1200 production deployments a month Project: At OpenX Poland, we’re looking for talented, communicative, and curious engineers to join our amazing team in Cracow, Poland. Currently, we’re looking for a Software Engineer (Python). You will have a chance to work in some aspects of agile application development, including our highly efficient and available serving platform, and your opinions will be considered in certain phases of product development, starting from requirements to validation and deployment. You will assist other engineers to ensure that our processes are defined, documented, tested, and easy to use. The team is using the following technologies: Frontend: JS/TS, React, Material UI API: Python, Node.js Backend: Java, Go, Erlang, ElixirCICD: Cloudbuild, Spinnaker On a daily basis, we are using the Scrum framework with an open-minded attitude to adapt the process to our needs. Within the team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a full-stack team of SWEs and SDETs focusing on different domains (both frontend and backend), as well as be a part of the API Guild focusing on making impactful changes to our tools and processes. Please note: all interview stages are run remotely!

Key Responsibilities
- Design high-performance, distributed, low-latency systems
- Architect, create, and deliver new features and functionality
- Work with Product to drive the requirements, and own the project end-to-end
- Work with Engineering and Product teams distributed across multiple locations
- Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of servers and processes
- Think long-term and be unsatisfied with band-aidsIdentify unnecessary complexity and remove it, analyze existing solutions
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of similar position working experience in Python along with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent degree
- Experience with database system design, RDBMs (MySQL, Postgres), or NoSQL
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
- Comunicative Polish
- Experience working in digital media, marketing technology, or advertising technology is a big plus
Desired Characteristics
- Experience Google Cloud Platform (or any other cloud platform), k8s, and docker
- Experience in Rest API
- Experience in GraphQL
- Familiarity with advertising technologies and the advertising ecosystem
