Description

WHO WE ARE

Come join the company reinventing data security, empowering businesses to realize the full potential of their data. As the leading data security platform purpose-built for the cloud era, Cyera’s mission is to reinvent how businesses secure data, enable agile collaboration, and boldly pursue new business opportunities. Trusted by security teams at leading global businesses, our team is proving that data security is the next big thing in cyber. Backed by the world’s leading investors and working with a large and growing list of Fortune 1000 companies, we are looking for world-class talent to join us as we usher in the new era of data security.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The IT Asset Management Specialist is an individual contributor responsible for the day-to-day operations of Cyera's device fleet — from MDM administration and new hire provisioning through asset tracking, device recovery, and offboarding. This role sits at the intersection of endpoint management and IT asset operations, and is the person who keeps our fleet running cleanly, our records accurate, and our employees equipped on day one.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Endpoint management and MDM administration

  • Administer Jamf Pro for Cyera's macOS fleet — maintain policies, configuration profiles, smart groups, and patch management.
  • Administer Intune for the Windows fleet and maintain consistent compliance standards across platforms.
  • Support Zero-Touch deployment workflows and ensure devices are ready for new hires on day one.
  • Monitor the endpoint environment for configuration gaps, compliance issues, and devices out of policy.

Asset visibility and lifecycle operations

  • Maintain an accurate, current view of the device fleet — in stock, assigned, in transit, recovery pending, lost/stolen, and returned.
  • Own the device lifecycle end-to-end: new hire staging and delivery, swap and repair coordination, offboarding wipes, EOL processing, and recovery.
  • Ensure device records remain complete and consistent across systems — Jamf, Intune, Workwize, and our ITSM platform should reflect the same picture.
  • Investigate mismatches, resolve duplicates, and maintain documentation of processes and exceptions.

Device recovery and returns

  • Own the process for recovering outstanding devices from employees, hubs, and vendors.
  • Run structured outreach and follow-ups until items are returned or formally dispositioned.
  • Keep recovery tracking current and share regular progress updates with relevant stakeholders.

Onboarding device readiness

  • Manage laptop deployments to ensure new hires receive equipment on time.
  • Coordinate readiness for upcoming hires and surface risks early.
  • Maintain a repeatable, reliable onboarding flow with minimal escalations.

Stakeholder communication

  • Provide consistent status updates to IT leadership and cross-functional partners — including People, Recruiting, and Finance as needed.
  • Communicate blockers early, close loops on open items, and ensure handoffs are clear.
  • Collaborate closely with the global IT team and contribute to operational improvements over time.

SUCCESS INDICATORS (WHAT “GOOD” LOOKS LIKE)

  • Stakeholders can understand asset status quickly without chasing for updates.
  • Devices are staged and delivered reliably — new hires aren't waiting on day one.
  • Outstanding recovery items trend down over time, with clear ownership and documented outcomes.
  • Asset data is clean and trustworthy across systems, reducing rework and manual investigation.
  • The endpoint environment stays healthy — patches are current, policies are enforced, and gaps are caught before they become incidents.

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in endpoint management, IT operations, or a related role.
  • Hands-on experience administering Jamf Pro — policies, profiles, smart groups, and patch management.
  • Hands-on experience with Intune and Windows device management.
  • Familiarity with Apple Business Manager and device enrollment workflows.
  • Experience managing device lifecycle operations end-to-end — provisioning, tracking, recovery, and offboarding.
  • Strong written communication — clear status updates, process documentation, and handoff notes.
  • Ability to work independently across a distributed, global team.
  • Local to NYC, available to work onsite 3–4 days per week.
  • Experience with Workwize or an equivalent device lifecycle / ITAM platform a plus.
  • Jamf 200 certification or equivalent hands-on experience a plus.
