Description

WHO WE ARE

Come join the company reinventing data security, empowering businesses to realize the full potential of their data. As the leading data security platform purpose-built for the cloud era, Cyera's mission is to reinvent how businesses secure data, enable agile collaboration, and boldly pursue new business opportunities. Trusted by security teams at leading global businesses, our team is proving that data security is the next big thing in cyber. Backed by the world's leading investors and working with a large and growing list of Fortune 1000 companies, we are looking for world-class talent to join us as we usher in the new era of data security.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The ITAM Administrator is an individual contributor responsible for owning Cyera's IT asset management function end to end — from procurement and provisioning through tracking, recovery, and offboarding. This is the person who keeps our fleet moving, our records accurate, and our employees equipped on day one. The role sits at the operational core of IT, with our device lifecycle platform (Workwize) as the primary system for asset tracking and logistics, and a working familiarity with our MDM stack to keep device records and states aligned across the environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Asset visibility and lifecycle operations

  • Maintain an accurate, current view of the device fleet — in stock, assigned, in transit, recovery pending, lost/stolen, and returned.
  • Own the device lifecycle end to end: procurement, new hire staging and delivery, swap and repair coordination, offboarding, EOL processing, and recovery.
  • Build out and own Workwize as the operational platform for asset tracking, procurement, and logistics coordination.
  • Ensure device records remain complete and consistent across systems — Workwize, Jamf, Intune, and our ITSM platform should reflect the same picture.
  • Investigate mismatches, resolve duplicates, and maintain documentation of processes and exceptions.

Device recovery and returns

  • Own the process for recovering outstanding devices from employees, hubs, and vendors.
  • Run structured outreach and follow-ups until items are returned or formally dispositioned.
  • Keep recovery tracking current and share regular progress updates with relevant stakeholders.

Onboarding and logistics

  • Manage laptop deployments to ensure new hires receive equipment on time.
  • Run the logistics layer end to end — coordinate with vendors, manage shipping and returns, and maintain standing inventory so new hires are never waiting on equipment.
  • Coordinate readiness for upcoming hires and surface risks early.
  • Maintain a repeatable, reliable onboarding flow with minimal escalations.

Endpoint and MDM coordination

  • Maintain a working familiarity with Jamf Pro and Intune to keep asset records and device states aligned across the endpoint stack.
  • Support Zero-Touch deployment workflows and verify devices are enrolled and ready for new hires on day one.
  • Verify device enrollment and compliance status, and coordinate with the team on issues that affect asset accuracy.

Stakeholder communication

  • Provide consistent status updates to IT leadership and cross-functional partners — including People, Recruiting, and Finance as needed.
  • Communicate blockers early, close loops on open items, and ensure handoffs are clear.
  • Collaborate closely with the global IT team and contribute to operational improvements over time.

SUCCESS INDICATORS (WHAT "GOOD" LOOKS LIKE)

  • Stakeholders can understand asset status quickly without chasing for updates.
  • Devices are staged and delivered reliably — new hires aren't waiting on day one.
  • Outstanding recovery items trend down over time, with clear ownership and documented outcomes.
  • Asset data is clean and trustworthy across systems, reducing rework and manual investigation.
  • Logistics run smoothly and predictably, with standing inventory in place and demand anticipated ahead of need.

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in IT asset management, IT operations, or a related role.
  • Experience managing device lifecycle operations end to end — provisioning, tracking, recovery, and offboarding.
  • Hands-on experience with a device lifecycle / ITAM platform such as Workwize, FirstBase, or equivalent.
  • Strong logistics and coordination skills — comfortable managing vendors, shipping, and inventory at scale.
  • Working familiarity with MDM platforms (Jamf Pro and Intune) and how device management connects to asset accuracy.
  • Familiarity with Apple Business Manager and device enrollment workflows.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Strong written communication — clear status updates, process documentation, and handoff notes.
  • Ability to work independently across a distributed, global team.
  • Local to NYC, available to work onsite 3–4 days per week.
  • Direct Jamf or Intune administration experience a plus, but not required.
