We’re continuing to invest heavily in building the best creator tools with the best team in the creator economy, and are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to support our mission.

This role is based in New York or San Francisco and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.

About the Role

  • Lead and contribute to the design and development of user-facing features that power a delightful notification experience for creators and fans across various channels such as email, push, in-product.
  • Build and maintain APIs that support critical and low latency backend applications used by web and mobile applications.
  • Comfortable working as a full stack engineer in React, next.js and python environments.
  • Collaborate with Machine Learning engineers in building value models to optimize notifications.
  • Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to improve our automated testing and reliability of our notifications platform.
  • Advocate for best patterns and practices in the areas of system design, performance, observability and testing.
  • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, designers, and other engineers to deliver high quality features.

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience in software development
  • Strong experience with Python or a similar language
  • Experience with React, next.js, Typescript or Javascript
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Understanding of Machine Learning systems.
  • Solid communication skills with cross-functional team members
  • Eager to take on new challenges and expand skill set
  • Build a strong product-minded engineering culture by mentoring and guiding engineers
