Our team is building tools to optimize the creator-to-fan relationship, including native video, enhanced podcasting features, improved creation tools, and new community experiences. We’re continuing to invest heavily in building the most talented team in the Creator Economy and are looking for a Fullstack Software Engineer to support our mission.
This role is based in San Francisco and open to those who are able to be in-office 2 days per week on a hybrid work model.
About the Role
- You'll help scale and expand capabilities of Patreon's payment platform that helps creators get paid effectively and on time, every time.
- Lead and contribute to the development and design of the Payments platform and tools to support the payment processing at Patreon.
- Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams to improve our automated testing and reliability of our payments platform.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build new functionality, while maintaining a delightful user experience, motivated by passion for our shared mission.
- Work with a supportive team to get things done with the right mix of quality and agility.
- Work with Java, Python, Flask, Spring Boot, MySQL, and AWS, introducing other technologies when it makes sense.
- Experience with the Frontend framework and technologies including React, Javascript, Typescript, etc.
- Build a strong product-minded, engineering culture by mentoring and guiding engineers inside and outside the team
About You
- 5+ years of experience in fullstack software development
- Excited to maintain high standard of quality and craft with an eye for user experience and engineering detail
- A track record of building systems with attention to detail, high reliability, and high throughput
- Experience designing, building, deploying, monitoring and maintaining code in a service-oriented architecture
- Proactive in communicating with your peers and cross-functional partners
- Experience building products in the payments domain is a plus, but not a strict requirement for this role
