The Role

The IT Team at Pilot is seeking a skilled and experienced senior IT systems engineer to own the solutions development, implementation, maintenance, and day-today operations surrounding our IDP systems and their integrations. This role will be heavily involved in both software and user lifecycle management, developing, and enhancing our standards and operations in those areas. This role will also stay tightly aligned to security best practices and collaborate extensively with our security team.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Be the subject matter expert on user directories, account lifecycle, authentication services and surrounding architecture
  • Manage and enhance integrations between our IDP and HRIS systems
  • Perform user lifecycle management, automation, and application provisioning as required
  • Design, maintain and optimize the scripts and workflows for automating identity operations
  • Work with stakeholders to integrate our SSO with department existing applications, while minimizing the impact on workflows
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and SOPs for critical workflows and systems
  • Collaborate with other teams within the company and play a strategic advisory role in systems selection, design, and governance
  • Serve as an escalation point for desktop engineers as needed
  • About You
  • 4+ years of experience as an Okta administrator and troubleshooter
  • 4+ years of experience administering common SaaS software, GSuite, Office365 etc.
  • Familiarity with authentication and authorization protocols and their operational capabilities (SAML, SSO, MFA, OAuth, SCIM)
  • Outstanding customer focused communication and relationship soft skills
  • An ownership mentality and a passion for problem solving
  • Security minded approach to all aspects of systems administration
  • Experience initiating, leading, and closing projects with a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Ability to discuss in detail your experience in a fast-paced tech startup prioritizing and delivering complex IT solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple high priority project deliverables
  • Vendor management and engagement experience
  • Previous experience in a service desk role is a plus
  • Broad experience in IT systems administration is a plus
  • Experience with project or program management is a plus
