The Role

Pilot is growing quickly, and we’re looking for a Product Manager to join our Financial Foundations team and help build the product strategies, roadmaps, and specifications to support this growth.

The Financial Foundations team mission is to deliver the best-in-class bookkeeping service. We build the software and integrations that are used to execute an increasingly efficient and uncompromisingly accurate monthly close process. We have a high standard for products we ship — we take responsibility for building and maintaining delightful, performant, predictable tools that make it easy to do the right thing for customers.

If you’re interested in joining a rocket ship and working with some of the best and the brightest as we solve important problems that will shape the next-generation financial back office, we’d love to talk to you!

Key responsibilities:

  • Own and deliver on company-level business objectives
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define a cohesive product strategy and roadmap for multiple products within Financial Foundations
  • Translate ambiguous or complex ideas into clear, executable projects
  • Deeply understand and elevate the voices of our (internal and external) customers and collaborate with Design, Engineering, and Operations to craft product experiences that customers love
  • Define key success metrics for your products
  • Combine qualitative research with quantitative analysis to deliver insights that inform your product decisions
  • Own and drive the product lifecycle from ideation through implementation and launch
  • Help evolve the PM discipline within the Product organization

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in the accounting and finance space
  • An entrepreneurial mindset
  • Combination of deep understanding of accounting and finance practices and a customer-focused product mindset
  • Built B2B products or integrations connecting SaaS products
  • Impeccable product taste and have shipped products with great user experiences
  • Structured problem solver and expert at prioritization
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and disciplines using qualitative and quantitative methods to solve ambiguous problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Track record of delivering business results
