Plaid is seeking a strategic People Business Partner to serve as a key collaborator for our HRBP Lead and Go-To-Market (GTM) leadership. In this role, you will lead the charge on all employee relations—from conducting complex investigations to elevating performance management—while serving as the primary advocate and resource for our teams. Beyond the day-to-day, you’ll partner with the HRBP Lead and leadership to design and scale high-impact programs that drive the success of our GTM functions.
Responsibilities
- Conducts thorough investigations and delivers equitable resolutions for employee complaints
- Serves as a trusted advisor to managers, providing guidance on complex employee relations and performance management practices.
- Analyzes trends from employee check-ins, engagement surveys, and workforce data to identify opportunities for organizational improvement.
- Defines, clarifies, and communicates people policies to ensure consistency and transparency across the organization.
- Partners with HRBP leadership and senior stakeholders to design and execute tailored HR initiatives that support functional business goals.
- Acts as a primary point of contact for manager and employee inquiries
Qualifications
- Must-Have Experience:
- Minimum 5 years as a HR business partner or People Partner
- Experience with workplace investigations and performance management processes
- Experience issue spotting and proactively advising on potential solutions with minimal oversight
- Analytically driven; experience in utilizing qualitative and quantitative approaches to root cause analysis
- A team player; low ego and highly collaborative
- Ability to manage and juggle multiple competing priorities
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup Nice-to-have experience
- Experience partnering with Go-To-Market leaders and teams

The target base salary for this position ranges from $153,600/year to $192,000/year in San Francisco and New York.
The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission, equity and benefits. The pay range shown on each job posting is the minimum and maximum target for new-hire salaries.
