As the Product Manager for the Revenue team at Raisin, you will own and evolve our invoicing and revenue products for our brokerage services and Raisin Bank’s payment services. (Or, if you join as a Junior PM, you will initially support a Senior PM with a swift growth path to becoming the team’s sole PM)
The continued growth of our partnership centric business requires smooth financial operations. Your work enables our partners to get paid, or to pay accurately and timely, and our finance teams to sleep soundly! Our products are critical since these revenue and cost amounts are recorded in the company’s financial accounts and statements which is necessary to be compliant with accounting and business regulations. With your product expertise, our internal finance users are enabled to carry out operations.As a member of our Corporate Services Tribe, you will report to the Head of Product for Corporate Services. You will be a key player and co-lead together with the Engineering Lead a cross-functional team in delivering robust and scalable products to support our fast growing business.
You will work closely with our finance teams, and collaborate with leaders from our Data Insights, Data Platform, Business Development, Relationship Management and other product teams from Deposits, B2B and US tribes.
Your Responsibilities- Product at Raisin requires a broad set of soft and hard skills. While every day is different we see the following as a useful guide as to what to expect
- You will be the go-to expert for your product and know how company-level business results are influenced by your product.
- You will lead the iterative refinement of major customer- or business- product problems in your product. You express clearly their value and success criteria, and you call out risks, dependencies and assumptions to qualify. You exhibit accountability for outcomes, not just output.
- You will foster the habit of working with data, and you improve the availability of data.
- You will help to illuminate the (collective best guesses for) the most valuable and feasible path for the next 12 months. You get buy-in and inspire your colleagues to help realise it.
- You will author and make transparent quarterly OKRs and plans with your Engineering lead which have clear value and connection to strategy, ambition and realism, and seek buy-in from your team and stakeholders.
- You will work excellently with your engineering and finance colleagues. You have a sufficient grasp of the best practices of these disciplines, and our implementations-that you can usually sketch coherent high-level solutions to product problems in various relevant software design artefacts which fundamentally stand up to critiques of your counterparts.
- You will foster a team culture in which feedback is given and received willingly and continually incl. public praise and private, considerate learning opportunities. For you, failure is a shared outcome.
- You will establish and maintain high-functioning communication channels between your team and all your stakeholder groups to maximise their and your effectiveness. You understand their goals, jobs and pains. You bring in the right people, at the right time, in the right way to topics, and convey complex topics, simply and effectively.
- You will lead groups of cross-discipline colleagues through complexity and ambiguity to rapidly reach alignment and meaningful decisions.
Must haves:
- 2+ years of Product Management experience and Experience leading a cross-functional team of engineers
- Knowledge of Accounting concepts and/or experience working with ERP systems
Nice to haves:
- Experience building distributed systems/microservices
- Agile/scrum certified
Important attributes for this role:
- You are highly analytical in nature (ideally with a bachelor degree, or previous experience in an analytical discipline)
- You have some experience contributing within key industry frameworks for rapid collaborative discovery (e.g. Opportunity Solution Tree, Domain Storytelling, Lean Inception, User Story Mapping, Experiment Canvas)
