As a UX/UI Designer at Rec Room you will work at all levels of the design process - from building consensus and inspiring people toward goals, to crafting systems, content, and user-experiences of individual features. You will collaborate across disciplines and teams through all phases of the design process. And you will balance the needs of the company, your team, and most importantly the players.


  • Collaborate with teams in translating players and business needs into a thoughtful and simple solutions
  • Maintain and evolve visual language and interaction patterns in Rec Room across all platforms
  • Transform your ideas into well-thought-out designs, clearly communicated through documentation, wireframes, prototypes, mock ups, and flow diagrams
  • Create high quality assets and partner with engineers, artists, designers and product managers in implementing and maintaining the feature in Unity
  • Be a champion for players. Advocate for design and iterations based on user feedback
  • Give and solicit feedback to raise the quality of Rec Room

We are looking for individuals with:

  • 2+ years in UX, HCI or relevant design field
  • A portfolio that demonstrates interaction and visual design experience
  • A clear understanding of user-centered design and design thinking
  • Proficiency in design and prototype software (E.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, Axure)
  • Strong visual design skill. Have aesthetic sense on how these elements impact product function
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, autonomous and ambiguous environment
  • A constant desire to learn, improve, and help others improve

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with Unity
  • Experience in atomic design
  • Experience in cross platform interface
