Remote: IrelandAbout Revolut
People deserve more from their money. More visibility, more control, and more freedom. Since 2015, Revolut has been on a mission to deliver just that. Our powerhouse of products — including spending, saving, investing, exchanging, travelling, and more — help our 50+ million customers get more from their money every day.
As we continue our lightning-fast growth, 2 things are essential to our success: our people and our culture. In recognition of our outstanding employee experience, we've been certified as a Great Place to WorkTM. So far, we have 10,000+ people working around the world, from our offices and remotely, to help us achieve our mission. And we're looking for more brilliant people. People who love building great products, redefining success, and turning the complexity of a chaotic world into the simplicity of a beautiful solution.
About the role
The Legal team sits at the heart of Revolut and it's a very important part of the business. This lovely bunch supports all other Revolut teams, helping us achieve our goals each and every day.
They're special, they're strong-willed, and they work in a lot of different areas (which isn't that common for an in-house role, we know, but they're just that good).
From structuring credit programmes to launching into new territories, the Legal team does it all.
We're looking for a Company Secretary who'll make sure we follow important legislation and regulations, and keep board members informed of their legal responsibilities.
You'll make sure Revolut and its directors comply with the law, as well as communicating with shareholders, making sure shares are paid, and maintaining company records.
Excited to join? We can't wait to have you on board.
What you’ll be doing
- Providing autonomous expert governance support to Revolut’s Lithuanian entities, supervisory and management bodies, and their committees
- Supporting with the preparation of agendas and circulation of meeting packs
- Participating in meetings and drafting of minutes, capturing and tracking action items
- Influencing and communicating effectively at executive level to ensure good local governance and alignment of processes across the group
- Arranging execution of various corporate documents (such as shareholder resolutions, KYC related documents, extracts, forms, and applications)
- Assisting the Legal team to make sure Revolut complies with relevant local legislation and regulation
- Maintaining up-to-date statutory registers and files
- Delivering high-impact initiatives and roadmaps aimed at improving the governance function and cross-functional initiatives
- Representing Revolut’s Lithuanian entities vis-a-vis third parties, mainly legal registers, notaries, and other public institutions
- Assisting junior colleagues' development and ensuring quality of their work
What you'll need
- A bachelor’s degree in law or 3+ years of company secretary experience at a financial institution
- 3+ years of working experience at a bank supervised by the European Central Bank
- A solid understanding of corporate governance, company law, and conflict of interest management
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to effectively arrange and lead board/committee arrangements and meetings
- The ability to draft clear and effective minutes and agendas
- Skills to own legal entity compliance activity with minimal support
- The ability to build excellent relationships at all levels
- To be focused on customer delivery
- Resilience and the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands
- Effective communication skills to proactively engage with stakeholders and provide clear and succinct governance advice
- Fluency in English
