About the role

We’re looking for a Legal Counsel (Banking) to sit within our growing legal team in our Lithuania office.

What you’ll be doing

  • Advise the business on compliance and legal issues surrounding structuring of new and existing financial products, and the marketing of them
  • Be an integral part of product and commercial teams; working with them to help design and deliver compliant solutions
  • Help structure and expand Revolut’s products and managing regulatory expectations, requirements and applications
  • Assisting other functions to drafting, plan and/or implement compliance policies and procedures for regulatory matters for these products
  • Proactively engage and work alongside local regulators across multiple countries
  • Excel at leadership while also undertaking executional work. This is a hands-on role and you’ll be expected to handle significant and complex legal matters with short turnaround times

What you’ll need

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Law
  • At least 3 years of strong finance law experience as a private practice lawyer at a top law firm or in a licenced bank or other payment service provider in Lithuania
  • Project management and communication skills including the ability to oversee implementation of complex projects
  • Knowledge and experience of best practice in Lithuanian banking sector regulations
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyse complex information to identify the key issue/action and drive resolution
  • Deep knowledge of the Lithuanian and EU financial sector regulatory environment and key regulatory compliance regimes.
  • Understanding of banking systems and markets with a focus on technology and mobile applications
  • Excellent academic and law firm credentials
  • Excellent English and Lithuanian language skills (written and oral)
  • Expertise in financial regulations related to electronic money institutions and banking services

Salary

€2,000-3000 net per month
