The Role As an Ecommerce Merchandising Specialist, you will play a key role in driving the growth and efficiency of our marketplace by ensuring the seamless onboarding of suppliers, maintaining high catalogue quality standards, and enriching product data for optimal performance across our eCommerce platforms. This position will have a direct impact on improving product visibility, enhancing user experience, and maximizing sales through effective merchandising strategies. In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle from onboarding new suppliers to maintaining and optimizing the product catalog. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales managers, digital acquisition, and operations, to ensure product data is accurate, comprehensive, and optimized for search and conversions. You will also manage product feeds in Google Merchant Center (GMC) and other platforms to ensure product content meets the required standards and best practices.
What you'll be doing
- Supplier Onboarding: Oversee the onboarding of new suppliers, ensuring that product data is accurately imported and aligned with catalog standards. Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to streamline product listings and data collection processes.
- Catalogue Quality Control: Maintain a high standard of quality control for product catalogs. Regularly audit product listings to ensure they are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with business goals. Work closely with suppliers to resolve discrepancies and issues related to product listings.
- Enriching Product Data: Enhance product descriptions, titles, specifications, and images. Optimize product content for both customer engagement and SEO. Ensure all data points are comprehensive and aligned with product category standards.
- Catalogue Data Management across acquisition channels: Manage and optimize product feeds across key platforms such as Google Merchant Center (GMC) and Data feed Watch (DFW). Ensure that product data is structured, accurate, and submitted on time for all digital channels.
- Algolia Merchandising On-Site: Optimize on-site product merchandising through Algolia. Ensure product listings are tailored for improved discoverability, relevancy, and personalization, targeting the right customer segments. Leverage Algolia’s search and recommendation features to enhance user experience and meet performance benchmarks across the site.
- User Experience Optimization: Stay current on eCommerce UX best practices and ensure product data presentation is optimized for a seamless customer experience, from browsing to checkout.
What you'll need
- Experience: Proven working experience in merchandising or product management in an eCommerce environment, with a focus on product data and catalogue management.
- E-commerce Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience with eCommerce platforms and CMS tools. Familiarity with backend processes like product upload, data maintenance, and content management.
- eCommerce UX: Understanding of how users interact with digital environments and how to optimize product listings for a positive user experience.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and present insights to stakeholders.
- Excel Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar tools for data analysis, reporting, and performance tracking.
