As a Security Operations Engineer with the Security Engineering team, you’ll help build and support the tools used for detection and response at SafetyCulture. You’ll create solutions, working with the Security team to automate workflows and devise new detection methods.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop, manage and support infrastructure and capabilities used by the Security Engineering team
  • Work with other teams across SafetyCulture to identify event sources and detection capabilities needed to protect SafetyCulture in an ever changing threat landscape
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and guidance to members of the Security Engineering team
  • Assist with Incident Response activities, using your knowledge to support Engineers

What you’ll bring

  • Programming language knowledge (at least one of GO, JavaScript, Python)
  • Experience supporting Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) and Endpoint Detection and Response technologies
  • Knowledge of security trends including attack and defence techniques
  • Understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK Framework
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders and seek business requirements for projects being worked on
  • Ability to lead and execute projects, including engaging with stakeholders
  • A drive to take ownership of problems and solve them
  • Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

What you’ll need

  • Previous experience in similar role
  • Professional experience with using AWS or other cloud services
  • Professional experience in software development and automation
  • Professional experience in leading, designing, developing, deploying and managing complex systems
  • A demonstrated interest in Security
