SafetyCulture engineers will work on new and existing products that directly impact the lives of our customers around the globe. You’ll collaborate with other team members to investigate design approaches and evaluate technical feasibility. You’ll write high quality distributed system software and drive engineering best practices. Working in an Agile/Scrum environment you’ll establish architectural principles and mentor team members. About the Job SafetyCulture is a mobile-first operations platform that equips you with the knowledge, tools, and processes to work safely, achieve higher standards, and drive continuous improvement. Recently valued at AU$2.7 billion, we have evolved from a digital checklist app into a robust platform for conducting inspections, raising and resolving issues, managing assets, and training teams on the go. About the Role As a Backend Software Engineer II, you’ll join our Facilitators and Learners Experience team, which is dedicated to enhancing the onboarding process for employees across the organization. Our team leads projects to elevate the blended learning experience, focusing on features that improve the journey and engagement of learners. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that impact how training is delivered across the organization.

In This Role, You Can Expect To:

  • Build and maintain web applications, APIs, and microservices using C# ASP.NET.
  • Introduce new features to our Inductions project while enhancing the performance and scalability of the product.
  • Support additional features within our blended learning platform.
  • Write high-quality distributed system software and promote engineering best practices.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.
  • Develop and maintain key system features.
  • Demonstrate competency in all relevant technologies, understanding the impact of your code on upstream and downstream services.
  • Work in a hybrid environment, including at our HQ in Surry Hills, Sydney.

You May Be a Great Fit for This Role If You Have:

  • Experience in C# / .NET and SOLID Principles.
  • Previous experience working in fast-paced environments, particularly with SaaS companies, in progressively senior roles.
  • The ability to leverage technical expertise into leadership within an engineering team.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with databases and cloud services (AWS, Azure, etc.).
