This is a critical role for the next phase of ServiceTitan’s growth. As we continue to build our Data and ML capabilities to deliver the promise of helping our customers unleash the power of their data and bring the trades industry at AI parity with other technology enabled industries, we seek to add an industry leading Principal Data Scientist with deep technical expertise in Statistics, Machine Learning, productionalizing ML workflows and expertise in Deep Learning approaches and solutions including Large Language Models and Generative AI.
Principal Machine Learning Engineer will be a key contributor to the technical vision and product roadmap by enabling ML based product offerings which add significant customer value. This role is for a strong ML practitioner who will build state-of-the-art ML solutions and ML infrastructure @ ServiceTitan.
What you'll do:
- Drive the development and implementation of novel data science solutions to address complex business problems across multiple product areas
- Implement Machine Learning algorithms for recommendation systems, Generative AI, Large Language Models, clustering, classification problems, Natural Language Processing, content embedding, models etc.
- Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to senior data scientists and teams across the organization
- Develop end-to-end ML workflows for batch, real-time and near real-time usecases
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, engineers, Product Managers, customers, and partners
What you'll bring:
- Advanced knowledge of Machine Learning methods and algorithms across traditional ML methods and Deep Learning theory and techniques.
- Experience developing and deploying large scale Machine Learning applications
- Expertise in Machine Learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch
- Ability to write high quality code in Python, C++ or Java
- Experience building ML platform to support ML lifecycle across teams and projects
- Ability to empathize with our users and champion their experience.
- Strong communication skills
- High EQ and a strong inclination to build a highly effective, diverse team where all members feel respected, included and can bring their whole self to the job.
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- BA/BS Computer Science or a related discipline. MS/PhD is highly desirable

ServiceTitan is committed to fair and equitable compensation for all of our employees. We thoughtfully consider a wide range of factors when determining individual compensation. The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in the United States is between $226,000 USD - $323,000 USD. Compensation for candidates residing outside the United States will vary by location and the specific salary range will be discussed during the hiring process. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes an annual bonus, equity and a holistic suite of benefits.
