Why is a Product Manager important to us?

Shapeways is looking for a product manager that will take product ownership of Shapeways’ APIs, e-commerce integrations, website improvements, and internal tools and systems. You will listen to our customers and stakeholder needs, define and prioritize functionality, and work closely with peers in engineering, operations, commercial, and product to build and deliver timely updates, as we continue to refine our best-in-class production software, to better serve our growing business needs.

What you’ll do:

As an empathic, organized, and collaborative product manager within our Product team, you’ll be responsible for the functional development of the above tools and services, and other fundamental business systems, including:

  • Speaking regularly with our customers and key stakeholders to understand their needs and how we can deliver them.
  • Drive projects by performing market and competitive research, capturing requirements, developing use cases, and user stories around the product, achieving consensus, writing specs, and shipping software with a team of engineers and designers.
  • Maintain and improve the public and private Shapeways API used by some of Shapeways’ largest customers
  • Own the full customer experience of the manufacturing customer of Shapeways.com, the Shapeways marketplace, API, and E-commerce integrations
  • Develop and execute strategy and roadmap to transition internal tools and customer-facing aspects of Shapeways from legacy systems to newly developed tools and microservices built for Otto (www.ottosoftware.com), working with other PMs, engineering, and the leadership team
  • Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, finance, operations, and commercial stakeholders in gathering requirements and delivering features that meet their needs.
  • Improve Shapeways core metrics (revenue, GM%, quality, etc) by having product ownership of the customer experience on Shapeways.com
  • Collaborate with the physical product team to launch new materials and offerings to Shapeways customers, executing Shapeways’ growth and company vision
  • Define, analyze, and measure goals and metrics that allow the team to measure the success of their work and make adjustments to the product

Requirements

You might be a good fit if you (are, have, possess):

  • A passion for building great products
  • 4+ years of product management experience; including working with API’s, E-commerce flows, and ERP software
  • Strong organizational and collaborative skills
  • Experience working at a fast-paced business, including in an ambiguous environment with the ability to learn quickly and self-motivate
  • Experience with Agile product development, A/B testing experience and always focusing on the customer
  • Familiar or have experience with Jira, Looker, SQL, HotJar, Google Analytics, InVision, Zeplin, Braintree, Stripe
  • Experience in the manufacturing space is a plus, particularly in 3D printing
