Administrative Business Partner to the CFO
The Administrative Business Partner (ABP) serves as a strategic partner to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), contributing beyond traditional administrative tasks to support financial operations and decision-making at the highest level. The ABP plays a critical role in project management, process optimization, and aligning administrative support with the CFO's financial objectives and broader business goals. In a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, the ABP ensures that financial initiatives are efficiently executed while maintaining strict confidentiality, professionalism, and organizational excellence. This role requires oversight of key administrative functions, financial project coordination, and executive-level support while also acting as a key liaison across finance teams and stakeholders.

What You’ll Do:
- Manage Core Administrative Tasks: Oversee a wide range of administrative responsibilities, including precise scheduling, maintaining, and updating the CFO's calendar.
- Prepare Key Meetings: Organize and prepare materials for key meetings involving the CFO, leadership team, board members, audit committee members, and external investors, ensuring agendas and documents are thoroughly prepared in advance.
- Handle Expense Management: Manage expense activities with accuracy, ensuring timely processing and adherence to budget guidelines.
- Coordinate Travel: Arrange complex travel logistics for the CFO, optimizing schedules and ensuring efficient travel plans.
- Improve Administrative Systems: Develop and enhance administrative systems and processes to boost overall efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support Finance Team Operations: Assist in streamlining workflows and supporting the finance team's operations, contributing to the smooth running of critical financial processes and earnings reports.
- Manage Quarterly Earnings Process: Oversee and manage the logistics and coordination of the quarterly earnings process, ensuring seamless execution and efficient collaboration with external stakeholders, including investors and board members. Maintain meticulous attention to detail throughout the process, ensuring timely preparation, accuracy, and smooth communication across all involved parties.
- Engage with Key Stakeholders: Facilitate interactions with board members, audit committee members, and external investors, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.
- Contribute to Leadership Team: Actively participate as a key member of the finance leadership team, offering valuable insights and support to advance financial objectives and operational excellence.
What We're Looking For:
We’re seeking an experienced, highly organized, and proactive Administrative Business Partner to support our CFO. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing complex administrative tasks and collaborating with cross-functional teams. We need someone who:
- Manages Time Efficiently: Demonstrates proven ability to prioritize multiple stakeholders, functions, and tasks in an extremely fast-paced environment, handling a large volume of requests with ease.
- Improves Systems: Has experience identifying gaps and initiating and implementing systems, processes, or programs to address them effectively.
- Attention to Detail: Exhibits extreme attention to detail, maintaining high standards of accuracy and responsiveness.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Possesses very strong interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain effective relationships with board members, audit committee members, external investors, and all levels of the organization.
- Communication Skills: Shows very strong verbal and written communication skills, able to convey information clearly and effectively, especially in high-stakes interactions.
- IT Savvy: Is comfortable and proficient with technology, demonstrating IT savvy to leverage various tools and platforms efficiently.
- Self-Starter and Problem Solver: Is a proactive self-starter, driven by curiosity, and adept at solving problems to move the business forward.
- Administrative Expertise: Has extensive experience managing executive-level calendars, scheduling, and meeting preparation with meticulous attention to detail.
- Expense and Travel Management: Skilled in handling expense management and travel coordination, optimizing efficiency at every step.
- Process Improvement: Has a track record of establishing and enhancing administrative systems and processes to boost effectiveness.
- Confidentiality and Data Management: Demonstrates a strong ability to handle sensitive financial data, confidential information, and documents with the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.
- Earnings and Financial Operations: Experience in facilitating smooth operations of earnings reports and financial processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Team Support: Adept at supporting team operations and participating as a key contributor on the finance leadership team, providing valuable insights and organizational support.
Preferred qualifications:
- 8+ years of administrative experience supporting C-level executives in a fast-paced tech environment, with proven success in managing complex projects and large-scale events from strategic planning to seamless execution.
- Experience engaging with board members and investors, handling high-stakes interactions with professionalism and discretion.
- Demonstrated ability to work across cross-functional teams and manage high-stakes responsibilities with discretion and professionalism.
Work Hours:
- This position requires you to work during scheduled hours from approximately 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the work location's timezone. Due to the nature of the role and collaboration with executives and stakeholders across various time zones, flexibility in working hours, including occasional work outside of regular business hours, will be necessary.
Work Location & Travel Requirements:
This position is based in our San Francisco, CA office. The role requires in-office presence 4-5 days a week.
This position may require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.

Salary:
The estimated salary range for this position is $59.29/hour to 74.11/hour.
Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
