Senior Data Program Manager, Beta

As a Senior Data Program Manager on the Beta team, you’ll serve as our data champion, making sure the team has access to reliable and actionable data that we can use to make informed decisions about our products and user experience. In this role, you’ll leverage data to help us understand how our Beta products are performing and which features need to be improved so that we can create the best possible sound experience for listeners everywhere. Where necessary, you’ll also partner with internal stakeholders and leverage our enthusiastic testing pool to test our products, features and services before they’re released to customers.

What You’ll Do:

  • Outline and execute a data strategy for the Beta team (i.e. how we request and access data)
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (Data, Automation and Cloud Services teams) to implement the Beta team’s data strategy
  • Work to automate day-to-day Beta processes, including, but not limited to, flagging accounts for new software builds and automating responses to tester feedback.
  • Help the Beta team define KPIs and success metrics in order to gain actionable insights from our data

Serve as the team’s Tableau expert:

Build dashboards

Hold training sessions

  • Help the team become self-sufficient in Tableau
  • Understand the technical capabilities and limitations of the Beta Community Platform to eliminate data capture barriers
  • Advance Beta’s Natural Language Processing agenda,  leveraging third parties where necessary and/or working to build out native capabilities internally
  • Leverage program management skill set when necessary. This would include  partnering with internal stakeholders to understand which features need to be tested and leveraging our tester pool to test them before they’re released to customers

What You’ll Need

Basic Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience working in the data science field, applying statistical data analysis to real-world problems
  • 3+ years experience with data transformation and analysis tools and languages including SQL, R, and Python
  • 3+ years of experience in project or program management
  • Knowledge of machine learning solutions and optimization techniques
  • Demonstrated experience telling a story with data and sharing the output of your work with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated experience applying statistical data analysis to real-world problems
  • Demonstrated experience managing numerous cross-functional projects concurrently & strategically
