As a member of the Sonos Corporate Accounting team, you will be responsible for a variety of revenue and inventory accounting functions as part of the global monthly close process.  This role will be hands-on and data-driven to ensure proper accounting treatment, execution, and reporting of results.  This role will be a key team member to interact and coordinate with colleagues across all regions (AMPAC, EMEA, APAC) as well as various cross-functional departments (FP&A, Logistics, Business Ops, Legal, & IT). The Senior Corporate Accounting Analyst will play a key role around accounting analyses, process improvement, and standardizing processes globally. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting.

What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze key financial data to incorporate findings into accounting estimates, or process  and procedure improvements
  • Develop process and reporting improvements through the use of tools such as Altreyx or Tableau
  • Responsible for preparation and review of month end close activities related to revenue and inventory
  • Work closely with the broader Accounting Teams to build out new or improvements to current policies, processes, or procedures
  • Work cross functionally with effective communications and educate individuals on revenue and inventory accounting requirements
  • Collaborate with external and internal auditors to ensure audit requirements are met
  • Work closely with the Corporate Accounting Managers on the implementation of strategic plans, projects, programs and systems
  • Monitor, enforce, and when appropriate, establish policies and procedures necessary for mitigating risk, enhancing the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and ensuring that reported results comply with US GAAP
  • Assist with SAP ERP implementation
  • Various special projects and ad hoc analyses as assigned

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA license or CPA eligible
  • 2-4 years of professional accounting experience. Experience can be a combination of public accounting and private industry experience.
  • Multi-national company, consumer electronics experience preferred
  • Knowledge of ASC 606 preferred
  • Experience with SAP preferred
