This individual contributor role has a wide span of influence, supporting the organization and  enhancing Hardware Operations.  Reporting to the Director, Operational Excellence, and working closely with cross functional groups, this position is responsible for all project management aspects of the design and implementation of new processes, systems, tools or special programs.

What you’ll do

  • Identify/analyze major pain points and lessons impacting our Sonos Product Development process and develop/deploy innovative solutions.
  • Improve operational efficiency, through developing tools and consistent processes that support Quality, Cost and Schedule, owning all Project Management aspects.
  • Guides the implementation of operational excellence metrics and/or KPI with Hardware Operations functional leaders.
  • Drive Value Stream Mapping exercises and process enhancements through a hands on approach to identify and eliminate waste in Hardware Operations and other related functions.
  • Collaborate with different groups to identify Technologies that can help to enhance efficiencies.
  • Lead discussions with stakeholders about effectiveness of complex processes to develop strategies to improve.
  • Promote data-driven decisions and foster a culture of Quality.

What you’ll need

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Engineering, Manufacturing or Supply Chain.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in customer service, quality assurance role or manufacturing.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Project Management with ability to dig into the deeper details of implementation tasks to execute a project.
  • Demonstrate experience in
  • Methodical approach to problem solving (root cause analysis, risk analysis )
  • Knowledge in  process mapping (Value Stream Map)
  • Lean Manufacturing
  • Strong communicative skills (speaking, writing, & listening) with the ability to present information and respond to questions from groups, directors or top management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understands business processes and product development processes.
  • Metrics Driven, Strong Sense of Urgency, and Passion or Driving Change
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt
  • Project Management certification.
  • Strong strategic thinking, ability to think and align long term and short-term objectives
  • Skilled Self-starter; you are process-driven and know how to motivate yourself to get things done.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills to ensure alignment between teams and lead consistency
