Our Team: Product Marketing

Product Marketing leads product launches and product strategy within the global Go To Market organization. Our cross-functional remit is to set the global vision, direction and plan for New Product Introduction (NPI) programs across Hardware, Software and Services; supporting the functional and regional teams to execute within their areas of expertise.

What You’ll Do

You, as one of most visible leaders at Sonos, will be asked to:

  • Build, lead and coach a team of product marketers
  • Define, manage, and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new and existing product initiatives including: audience definition, product positioning, comms architecture, and launch strategy
  • Partner closely with our Insights, User Research and Product teams to understand consumer needs and the broader competitive landscape
  • Lead the strategy, planning, and execution of go-to-market plans
  • Ensure alignment on product positioning and comms architecture across all channels including Campaign Marketing, Direct to Consumer, Retail, and Product Experience
  • Take a data-driven approach to strategy focusing us on the most impactful outcomes and specific KPIs

You, as a cross-functional leader, will support, collaborate and align with:

  • Product Management, Engineering and Operations
  • Global Brand, Global Retail and Global Communications
  • Strategic Partnerships and Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Business Development
  • Regional Sales and Marketing

What You’ll Need

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years managing end-to-end product marketing at a technology, or innovative, fast-paced consumer brand
  • Experience building, leading and developing a team of seasoned marketers
  • Experience leveraging a portfolio of features and innovation to develop a one brand ‘ecosystem’ strategy
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable reviewing and analyzing business performance metrics, KPIs, ability to pivot when the data tells you

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical aptitude or literacy with software and / or hardware engineering philosophies and principles
  • High attention to detail with strong strategic sensibilities and executional prowess
  • Comfort with presenting your ideas to senior leadership and the company at large
  • Ability to develop and implement processes to lead product marketing to succeed in a rapidly evolving marketing and product orgs
  • Out-of-the-box thinker ready to get creative and take risks to bring a powerful consumer brand to the next level
  • Results-driven, with a passion for using data to build to solve business problems, disruptive product innovation and advance our brand narrative
