With 70K GitHub stars, Strapi is the most popular open-source Headless CMS. Our 3K+ customers include Amazon, Abbott, Toyota, Airbus, n8n, PostHog, and CodeRabbit. We target developers in digital agencies and enterprises. We have two business models: open-core (Enterprise Edition, which includes additional features and support) and hosting (Strapi Cloud). Our last round was a Series B led by CRV. Since then, we have been growing rapidly and have even become cash flow positive.

Our VP of Marketing (who has been at Strapi for 6 years) is transitioning into a Fractional CMO role. This is why we are hiring a VP of Marketing.

The problems you’ll solve

  • Strategy & Leadership: Own Strapi's global marketing strategy (team, KPIs, narrative, and category positioning).
  • Demand Generation & Growth: Drive pipeline through scaled inbound channels, data-driven experimentation, and growth loops.
  • Partnerships & Ecosystem Marketing: Build and activate a global partner ecosystem to drive co-marketing, joint GTM, and partner-sourced pipeline.
  • Product Marketing: Translate Strapi's capabilities into sharp positioning and messaging for developers, marketers, and Sales.
  • Brand & Content: Strengthen Strapi's brand as the leading open-source headless CMS across website, content, and storytelling.
  • Community & Developer Marketing: Grow and leverage Strapi's open-source community as a core acquisition channel, in authentic partnership with DevRel.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Align tightly with Product, Sales, and Customer Success on launches, pipeline quality, and customer growth.

Your team

The current Marketing team includes:

  • 1 Product Marketing Manager
  • 1 Developer Advocate
  • 1 Content and Social Media Manager (freelancer, 5 days/week)
  • 1 Ecosystem Advocate (freelancer, 2 days/week)
  • 1 Product Advocate
  • 1 Senior Partner Manager

We also work with several agencies i.e Content / GEO and website development and freelancers i.e YouTuber educator and content writers.

About you

  • You are deeply passionate about marketing for developers.
  • You use AI on a daily basis to make yourself and your team more effective.
  • You have been part of leadership teams.
  • You are curious, proactive, strategic, and have a strong execution ability.
  • You are used to collaborating with other teams (Product, Sales, Customer Experience, Support, etc.).
  • You live in the US (ideally in the Bay Area).

Salary range

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ The annual hiring range for this position is $250K-$300K. Within the range, individual pay will be based on a candidate's skills and experience as they relate to the specific requirements of the role.
