Summary:

Provides strategic and operational leadership for multiple engineering teams. Oversees technical execution, cross-functional collaboration, and team development to ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions aligned with Tekion’s business objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Leads multiple engineering teams through the development lifecycle—from design through deployment—ensuring delivery of high-impact products and services.
• Collaborates with product, design, architecture, and operations leaders to define technical strategy and roadmaps.
• Oversees team structure, resource planning, hiring, and talent development across functional areas.
• Drives technical excellence by promoting engineering best practices, quality standards, and operational efficiency.
• Leads organizational transformation efforts related to scalability, automation, and platform modernization.
• Coaches engineering managers and senior engineers, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and career development support.

Job Complexity:

Oversees engineering operations for multiple product domains or large-scale platforms. Leads strategic initiatives that influence both engineering practices and business outcomes.

Required Supervision:

Functions with broad autonomy. Aligns teams with company-wide objectives and works directly with senior and executive leadership.

Expertise:

Recognized engineering leader with strong technical depth and people management experience. Known for scaling teams and systems in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including 4+ years in engineering leadership roles
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Proven success in managing multiple engineering teams and delivering large-scale software solutions
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms, distributed systems, and development operations
• Strong strategic thinking, project management, and decision-making capabilities
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
