About the role

As a Senior Product Manager at Transcend, you will be responsible for overseeing the Data Discovery & Classification product suite, a core component of Transcend’s privacy management platform which includes Data Inventory, Silo Discovery, Structured Discovery, and Unstructured Discovery. This role demands a blend of technical expertise in data stacks, a keen understanding of customer experience and a strategic mindset for product positioning and market differentiation. The ideal candidate will be adept at translating complex data insights into coherent product strategies that align with both user needs and business objectives, while also identifying opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage in the market.

What you'll do

  • Lead the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Data Discovery & Classification suite.
  • Conduct market research and analyze customer feedback to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement.
  • Create and maintain product roadmaps, balancing business objectives with technical constraints.
  • Delve into the details of scanning data systems such as Snowflake, S3, Hive, MongoDB, Google Drive, O365, and more.
  • Create user experiences which are delightfully simple.
  • Create products that customers love and are aligned with Transcend’s business goals.
  • Work with AI/ML engineers to develop Transcend's data classifiers.
  • Proactively communicate roadmap and product functionality to the rest of the business—particularly to non-technical counterparts on go-to-market teams.
  • Work with the Customer Experience team and our customers directly to gather feedback and incorporate it into product development.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from conception to launch, including requirement gathering, prioritization, acceptance criteria and product development, ensuring timely and high quality releases.
  • Present product strategies and plans to senior management and stakeholders.

Who you are

  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • You have deep knowledge of data stacks (data warehouse technologies, data lakes, query engines).
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, preferably in data-focused products.
  • You are a strategic thinker with a proven track record of delivering successful products.
  • You have excellent leadership, writing, and communication skills, capable of guiding cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
  • You are passionate about privacy and eager to contribute to a mission-driven organization.

For this role, the estimated annual total salary ranges are below. The actual annual salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range below is a guideline, and the annual total salary range for this role may be modified. The pay range for this role is:

180,000 - 210,000 USD per year (Remote - United States)
