We are seeking an Engineering Manager who has experience building great products and applications at scale, using the right technologies while focusing on delivering value for our users. We are looking for someone with experience in managing software engineers and who knows how to grow them and make teams successful. You will be supporting 1-2 engineering teams that are responsible for the delivery of platform integrity initiatives.

You will support the engineers to design, implement and deliver highly scalable solutions and machine learning models to support our platform integrity efforts.

In your role, you will:

  • Own the delivery of major initiatives and balance delivery with sustainable engineering practices, while managing and mitigating high-risk elements of initiatives.
  • Facilitate cross-functional scoping and planning for intended solutions and effectively communicate issues, risks with stakeholders, escalating where appropriate.
  • Develop and support a great team of talented and motivated engineers, setting clear expectations via constant feedback and 1:1s practices.
  • Set up team members for success via creating growth opportunities, and addressing gaps in skills by mentoring and professional development coaching.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering leadership to engage, manage and retain top talent.
  • Build a positive and high performing work environment based on transparency, accountability, and trust.

We are looking for people with:

  • 2+ years of Engineering Management experience
  • Proven experience of engineering best practices: observability, configuration management, test automation, agile practices
  • Experience with cloud services such as, AWS, Google Cloud
  • Proven record of using data and related technologies to solve business problems
  • Experience with coaching, mentoring and growing individuals and teams
  • Ability to facilitate decision making and create alignment across teams
