Upollo is a venture backed company on a mission to help subscription companies convert, retain and expand by understanding who to nudge and how and why to nudge them. We provide real time insights which are used to help sales teams close deals with growing customers, help customer success reps prevent churn and turn repeated trials into life long customers.
We are looking for someone who has a strong data science background, knows conversion prediction, churn models and subscriptions & payments back to front.
If you love diving into lots of interesting data (we have a LOT of it) and turning that into actionable insights this is the role for you!

What you could be doing
- Diving deep into what makes companies and users convert, churn and expand and creating ML models to turn those into actionable, customer-facing insights
- Building an automation system to turn insights and events into playbooks of actions
- Integrating event systems, CRMs and more into Upollo to help support more businesses
- Working with the broader team to design, build and launch features end-to-end
- Building at scale, including designing, deploying and monitoring for large QPS, low latency use cases
Your background
- A data scientist or ml/data engineer who loves diving into new areas and iteratively solving complex problems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering, related technical field or equivalent practical experience
- Industry experience in an area such as machine learning, data science, subscriptions, forecasting, data visualisation, real time data pipelines
- A generalist ready to pick up new technologies and learn. Some we utilise include Dataform, BigQuery, Go, , etc.
