We’re currently looking for an Accounting coach to create and deliver exceptional accounting training for our apprentices as they progress through their AAT qualifications, and you’ll be in the thick of the action!

You’ll be helping us achieve our bigger target by building a business which can match non-graduate talent with apprenticeship opportunities at some of the UK's most exciting companies. Through a combination of training, coaching and cutting-edge tech, we offer apprenticeships that genuinely rival the learning experience at elite universities.

So not only will you be working on some incredibly challenging problems, but also giving our apprentices a great launchpad to succeed.


A day in the life:

Everyday as a coach is different - that’s the beauty of it! But here is how a typical day may look:

  • 9am - Arrive and prep for a group session at a client's office. Perhaps grab a coffee with one of your apprentices who has arrived early and has a few questions for you.
  • 9.30am - Your first small group session begins. You are teaching them a challenging new accounting concept today and you need to bring real-world examples to the table to help them get to grips quickly with the content.
  • 11am - A series of 1-2-1 mentoring sessions with your apprentices, reviewing their progress on the programme, identifying any blockers to learning and discussing how they apply the learning in their role.
  • 3pm - Pop back to WhiteHat HQ to knock out some admin. This might be follow ups with some line managers, debriefing with your WhiteHat colleagues or working on developments to the Accounting curriculum.

5pm - You’ve found an interesting article to share with your apprentices through our online platform which reinforces some of the teaching from the day.

About you

We are looking for an outstanding accounting coach to deliver the AAT Levels 3 and 4 (and ultimately ACCA) in both a classroom based and work environment. You'll be working with small groups of 16-24 year olds.

Essential Criteria:

  • You hold an AAT Level 4 qualification as a minimum
  • You have industry experience that you are looking to share with apprentices

Personal Skills:

  • You can plan, deliver and evaluate quality learning and development programmes
  • You can deliver stimulating applied learning sessions, developing SMART targets with the apprentices and exchanging rich, constructive feedback
  • You're excited by the potential to develop the next generation of accountants: You make learning informative, engaging and fun
  • You can provide guidance, support and encouragement. Harnessing your experience to support young people who are kick starting their careers
  • You are highly organised: You have a track record of organising and maintaining documentation.
