We’re WhiteHat. A tech start up on a mission to create an outstanding alternative to university. By delivering training in partnership with world-class content providers, through a combination of 1:1 coaching and cutting-edge tech, we offer apprenticeships that genuinely rival the learning experience at elite universities.

We recently raised a $16m Series A round, led by some of the world’s leading investors including Index Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners and Salesforce Ventures, to redefine the future of education and employment. We want to build an iconic company that becomes one of the great European businesses of our generation.

One of our key courses is a People Leadership Programme (PLP), helping to progress the careers of new managers as they develop through an organisation.

We’re currently looking for a Leadership Coach to join the team delivering exceptional training for this programme. You’ll be in the thick of the action, working with young managers at some of the UK’s most exciting brands, delivering sessions based on our curriculum and coaching apprentices in or small groups or one-on-one.

A day in the life of the Leadership Coach:

Everyday as a coach is different - that’s the beauty of it! But here is how a typical day may look:

  • 9am - A small group teaching session at a client’s office. These take up to 2 hours and consist of delivering content, discussing best practice and sharing experiences in learning with your apprentices.
  • 11am - A series of 1-2-1 coaching sessions with your apprentices, reviewing their progress on the programme, identifying any blockers to learning and discussing how they can apply the learning from one of your teaching sessions.
  • 3pm - Head back to WhiteHat HQ to knock out some admin. This might be follow ups with some line managers, reviewing an apprentices reflective journals, or booking in a series of check points. Also a chance to debrief with your WhiteHat colleagues.
  • 5pm - You’ve found an interesting article to share with your apprentices on our online platform which reinforces some of the teaching from the day.

  • Practical teaching, coaching or learning and development experience within academia or a commercial setting
  • Experience line managing people. One of the core areas that the programme covers is people management, so it's important you have first hand experience to lean on
  • Relevant industry experience - you’ve spent time working in a business related sector OR teaching experience with people management/departmental responsibilities
  • A coaching qualification would be a bonus
  • You have excellent communication skills and are able to work effectively with people at all levels internally and externally
  • You are passionate about delivering the best learning opportunities and supporting others on their development journey
  • Your coaching approach is based around clear deliverables and a structured and scalable method

Our social mission is at the heart of our business, so if doing good is as important as building a commercial business to you, you will find WhiteHat incredibly rewarding. We have eight core values which are central to everything we do:

  • We are all owners: we think about the impact of our actions on the team, the company and on our external perception
  • Good people win: we believe that respect flows both ways; we are approachable, warm and responsive

  • We believe in social mobility: your background should never define your destination

  • We are honest but kind: direct feedback delivered with kindness helps others realise their full potential
  • We are mission & results driven: we pursue excellence in everything we do and we energise and inspire others through the standards we set

  • 27 days holiday a year + bank holidays
  • Perkbox benefits
  • Equity Options
