Job Description
Accounts Payable team in Wise is responsible for: processing employee expense reports, credit card reports and vendor invoices; vendor master data (incl verification) and related area policies; co-owning the system improvements together with the Finance Implementation team. You’ll be joining a dedicated and supportive Accounts Payable team, along with the rest of our Finance Tribe, where you’ll play an integral role in our journey toward continuous improvement and automation. You will be a part of the accounting leadership team to collaborate on key areas such as talent management, team development, process improvement, and resource allocation.
Your mission:
- Fully owning and improving all accounts payable processes. Identifying missing or insufficient processes and taking initiative to find solutions.
- Develop a strong Accounts Payable team and support specialists on their personal growth paths.
- Support defining the team’s goals and vision while increasing efficiency of the team. Run your team planning activities, coordinating execution and sharing relevant results and updates.
- Help the team develop and measure KPIs for success.
- Ensure the team’s readiness to handle unexpected situations.
- Drive operational excellence, while building sufficient controls and assessing and mitigating operational risks.
- Automation of AP processes in cooperation with the Finance Implementation team.
- Stakeholders management: Organise, monitor and improve the relationships with all stakeholders, both internal and external.
Qualifications
Here's what we think you'll need to be successful and happy in this job:
- Previous team lead experience and knowledge of accounts payable area at least 2 years
- Not afraid of challenges and making decisions, a good problem solver
- Can work autonomously and take initiative
- While leading the team, you are flexible rolling up your sleeves to handle operational tasks when and if needed
- Cooperative attitude and ability to manage deadlines
- You are a great communicator. You can adapt your communication style to different audiences. You’re able to persuade others and you aren’t afraid to challenge something when you need to.
- Able to identify and communicate own development needs

- Starting salary: 3,000-4,000 gross EUR per month
