We have something really important to tell the world – you can save lots of money using Wise. The problem? Well, money transfers aren’t the most exciting thing in the world are they? I mean, we’re competing with dogs, babies and TikTok trends out there. It’s our job to make people listen. We let our imaginations run wild, thinking up crazy stories and metaphors to bring our messages to life. A bar chart showing a price comparison for money transfer providers? Meh. A bar chart made out of lego on a running track for barefoot athletes to run across? Now we’re talking. People think we sit around on beanbags looking at cat memes and drawing mind-maps all day. That’s only Wednesdays.

The ideal candidate will be ambitious, self-starting, and looking to build a career within advertising. The role will focus on production – making sure that all of Wise’s video content is delivered on budget, on time and on brand.

Your mission:

  • Contacting customers and organising shoots in multiple locations around the world
  • Interviewing customers and helping them to tell their Wise story
  • Finding locations, sourcing permits and booking travel and accommodation for shoots
  • Booking studios and equipment – lights, cameras and…. not action. Annoyingly we can’t book action.
  • Finding and licensing content on the internet. Essentially, sending messages to people on Instagram, asking kindly if we can buy their videos
  • Sourcing and booking talent and crew
  • Working with the translation team to adapt content for other markets
  • Scheduling our teams’ time so that our deadlines are kept
  • Assisting with handing over content
  • Managing the production of new creative ideas, from a scribble on a whiteboard to a world-class creative. This includes directing shoots, directing edits and writing social media ‘copy’ (that just means words, it’s a weird advertising thing).

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Develop – you’ll be encouraged to grow and take on more responsibilities, and you’ll have the freedom to decide what those are. But if that sounds a bit scary, we’ve got some nice people to help you along the way.
  • Be flexible in how and where you work, we understand everyone needs a little something different so we’ll do our best to make it happen
  • Travel – a big part of our advertising focuses on our customers, who happen to be based all over the world. It means that we end up travelling a lot, to go and meet them. I know, it’s terrible
  • Have impact – we are constantly measuring and understanding how our work helps Wise to achieve its mission. It’s incredibly rewarding to know that we’re helping millions of people save money. It just so happens that we have a lot of fun too.

A bit about you:

  • You’re a master when it comes to organisation, planning and estimating tasks and ensuring timely delivery of work. You’re the type of person who makes a spreadsheet for their holiday. Don’t worry, so are we!
  • Curious about the video production process. It’d be great if you’ve picked up a camera or have edited something – even if it was for that cringe home movie that always seems to surface at the worst times.
  • You have an idea of what engages people on social media.
  • An excellent communicator. You can tell us that our ideas suck, but without being mean. We have feelings.
  • Highly ambitious, and you’re able to track your progress.
  • Proactive, curious and a natural problem-solver.

Some extra skills that would be awesome:

Experience of production and its constantly moving parts is preferred but not essential.
