Hunter is a Partner at Index Ventures, where he invests across verticals and at every stage of growth. He looks for relentless founders taking on hard, consequential problems, and enduring companies built with real craftsmanship and care. Above all, he optimizes for slope over intercept -- less concerned with where a founder begins than with how fast they climb.
Before joining Index, Hunter was a General Partner at 9Yards, where he served on the board or worked with companies that include Toast, Gusto, Wonderful, Capital Rx, Remote and Capitolis. Prior to 9Yards, Hunter worked in venture at Willoughby Capital and private equity at Gamut Capital. Hunter started his career in Tech M&A at JPMorgan.
Hunter graduated with honors from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Hunter grew up in Vancouver, Canada.
