Ollie partners with founders and operators on AI Research hiring strategy, spending much of his time building meaningful relationships across Index's AI Research network.
He joined Index after 13 years building technical teams. He began his career in technical hiring at Amazon before moving into Machine Learning at Meta, including with FAIR. He then went deeper into ML Research as a founding employee at Isomorphic Labs, where he built the Frontier Research teams behind the company’s foundational models for drug discovery and helped scale the organization beyond 200 people. Most recently, he led AI Research and Robotics growth at the Ellison Institute of Technology.
Ollie believes in the multiplying impact of key technical hires, and the importance of building trusted relationships with highly coveted technical talent. Outside of work he can be found enjoying coffee shops, bakeries and hikes with his growing family.
