What you’ll be doing at Ando:
Architect and ship core messaging infrastructure that feels instant, reliable, & magical
Tend to the ‘invisible’ aspects of the product, such as retrieval & evals
Prototype (alongside our designer) new interaction patterns for how humans and agents work together
Create an API and agent developer platform that outside builders actually love to use
Experiment with tool calling evals to figure out what really works in practice
Iterate on our context and retrieval systems
Raise our bar for engineering craft, help with recruiting, and hold the line on quality
Use Ando every day, give blunt feedback, and turn it into product improvements
Qualifications
3+ years of full time SWE work with at least 1 year of senior IC responsibilities
Experience building AI-powered apps
Ability to work very fast without cutting corners on quality
Taste: you care about details that others might miss, and you sweat them
