Plaid’s GTM Partnerships team unlocks “one to many” customer relationships with technology platforms to allow more end customers and consumers to benefit from Plaid’s solutions. Partner Development Managers are aligned with specific revenue segments, in this case supporting our banking and wealth partners. The Partner Development Manager is responsible for driving deal execution and cross-functional orchestration of strategic opportunities in the Banking, Wealth and Insurance segments. The Partnerships Development Manager will source opportunities and manage long, complex cycles with multiple stakeholders, navigating competitive dynamics and articulating Plaid’s differentiated value proposition.
Responsibilities
- Strategy. Develop and maintain a strategic prospecting plan to identify new partners critical to Plaid’s penetration of banking, wealth, and insurance verticals
- Business Development. Establish and grow relationships with high-potential partners, identify partnership opportunities, secure buy-in, and represent Plaid as a thought leader at industry events
- New Partner Signing. Handle the end-to-end deal cycle for all new Banking & Wealth partners, and collaborate with direct B&W AEs and AMs on overlapping direct and partnership opportunities
- Upsell Execution. Work with the Banking & Wealth partnerships account management team to execute upsell and expansion opportunities across the existing partner base
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or a related GTM role with demonstrated success signing new partners or closing complex deals; fintech or financial services experience is a plus
- Proven track record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing partnership or business development deals
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling partnership proposals and present to senior executives
- Organized and detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple deal cycles simultaneously while maintaining CRM hygiene and producing accurate pipeline reports
- Comfortable representing Plaid at industry events, conferences, and partner meetings as a thought leader
- Collaborative and self-directed, able to partner with direct sales teams on joint opportunities while independently owning the partner deal cycle
- Familiarity with the open banking, financial data, or payments ecosystem is a plus but not required
- Experience with complex, multi-stakeholder deal cycles involving both direct sales and partnership channels

The on-target earnings (OTE) for this position ranges from $202,800/year to $266,400/year in New York or SF.
The OTE range listed for this full-time position includes commission, but excludes equity and benefits. The pay range shown on each job posting is the minimum and maximum target for new-hire salaries. Actual pay may be higher or lower depending on factors like skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
