Georgia Stevenson

Georgia focuses on AI-native products and research companies. She partners closely with companies including Granola, Ineffable & Mirelo.

She is particularly interested in how AI will drive different behaviours, and unlock new ways to live & work.

She started her career in the early days of Deliveroo, doing door-to-door sales to restaurants and launching the business in new markets. Georgia graduated from St John’s College, Cambridge with a degree in History.

What did you do at Deliveroo?

Georgia — I joined to launch the business across different towns and cities outside London. This involved lots of door-to-door sales in the rain (when restaurants are at their emptiest), performing after-hours sales pitches (when restaurants are prepared to listen to you) and making friends with all the waiting staff (when owners arrive, they'd give you a heads up). It was a very formative experience and a real lesson in the importance of execution, resilience, and the exhilaration of closing a sale.

What do you focus on at Index?

Georgia — I focus predominantly on UK & New York based businesses, with a particular skew towards marketplaces, retail infrastructure, future of work and consumer.

Name your proudest achievement.

Georgia — Coming second in Southern GB Under 9s Chess Championships and winning a full set Belgian chocolate chess board. It's really all been downhill since then.
