We’ve been contrarian from the start. Our firm was born in Geneva in 1996, and we quickly expanded to London with the goal of bringing Silicon Valley-style investment to Europe. We spent our first decade shaping the European tech ecosystem, and that momentum propelled us to establish additional offices in San Francisco and New York City. Our reach continues to expand, and the same global, contrarian perspective we began with continues to shape our investing philosophy.
